Multimodal Comment on Victor Vasquez's Video

Hi Victor! I really enjoyed watching your presentation and learning more about Jacob Riis. I liked how you explained his motivation behind his photographs and the impact they had. It is amazing how much social and political change can be caused from photographs. As you said, I think Jacob Riis' use of flash bowl photography made all the photos feel candid and real! Through the photographs that you included, I think Riis did an amazing job capturing the honest truth about the slums in NYC. Something that I learned from watching your presentation and seeing Jacob Riis' work is that not all photograph have to be extremely elaborate to tell a story.
