Course Goals and Achievements
I believe that I achieved my first and last goal of knowing what to look for when taking a photograph and having a better eye for a good photo opportunity. When taking a photograph I pay more attention to what kind of lighting I am using, the perspective, colors, and the rule of thirds. I have also been able to observe photographs presented in other classes better which gives me a better understand of what the artist is trying to portray. I also think that I have become better at knowing when is a good time for a photo or not, especially when it comes to lighting. This is because changing which way you stand or during what weather you take a picture in strongly determines how the picture is going to look, even with the same subject and location. Overall, I believe that I have learned a lot of the basics of photography from this class and I will keep with me what I have learned to be an above average photographer.
