Emulating a Professional Photographer

I think this is the most successful picture because I think it emulates Nigel Shafran's work best. This is because it captures the beauty in the everyday scene of my kitchen table. The high perspective shows the rest of the imperfect counter as seen in Shafran's work. I also like the use of diffused light here to capture the different colors presented throughout the photograph. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was trying to understand what Shafran was trying to capture and portray in his work because that would guide me to how, what, and why I would photograph for this assignment. In the future, I plan to push myself away from taking photographs at basic perspectives by observing subjects at different perspectives and seeing the beauty in those unusual perspectives.
